Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, is Australia's oldest and largest city with a population of around 4 million. The city is built round Sydney's harbour, home to the world famous Opera House.

The city has an incredible array of activities to offer, the climate is perfect and the people are welcoming. There are a number of gorgeous beaches and national parks. If you are planning to spend most of the time on the beach, summer is the best time to visit, although humidity is a factor.
