Ayers Rock/ Uluru is the largest monolith in the world and is a sacred aboriginal site.

You can choose to make the difficult climb to the top (older kids only) or just walk round the rock with an aboriginal guide.

Uluru produces a beautiful light show at sunset, crimsons turn to gold and pinks turn to mauves. Location: Kata Tjuta National Park: 280 miles (450km) southwest of Alice Springs 443km along the Stuart and Lasseter Highways, south west of Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia.
