The
picturesque merry-go-round in Petrie Plaza in the
middle of Canberra is still delighting children and
adults alike with its air of olde world charm. It
was built in 1914 in Melbourne. The original organ,
the hand-carved wooden horses and the two elephants
were imported from Germany, while its twisted brass
poles came all the way from Scotland.
