Established in 1969 as a native animal sanctuary, Alma Park became
a registered zoo in 1973 with the arrival of exotic
animals. The zoo was taken over by an animal loving
family in 1981 and has since undergone extensive redevelopment
to improve conditions for the animals.
Brisbane's Alma Park Zoo is situated 28 kms north
of Brisbane, approximately 30 minutes drive.
